With a month to spare, the goal of boosting B.C.'s annual lumber exports to China to 4 billion board feet within three years has been reached, Jobs, Tourism and Innovation Minister Pat Bell said Wednesday.
As of the end of November, shipments to the country, now B.C.'s No. 2 customer for the commodity, stood at a record 4.28 billion board feet for 2011, a far cry from 700 million board feet in 2008 when the goal was first set.
