The lack of late-season snowpack in the Upper Fraser basin is translating into a mixed blessing down river in Prince George.
Starting with the good news, the city's annual battle against the mosquito is not as intense as in previous years, city parks and solid waste supervisor Flavio Viola confirmed Wednesday, because there are fewer pools of water where the larvae can hatch.
