One of two local lottery winners has stepped forward.
Fred Greene, 60, matched five out of six numbers plus the bonus number on the February 22nd Lotto 6/49 draw to win $249,807.30.
Greene came forward Thursday with the winning ticket.
"He says he was waiting for a doctor's appointment so took the time to check his numbers," B.C. Lottery Corporation spokeswoman Laura Piva-Babcock said. "He plans on taking a vacation and paying off his mortgage."
The owner of a ticket worth $1 million from the March 8 draw that was sold in Prince George has not yet claimed the prize. The winning numbers are: 11 16 18 33 34 35 Bonus 28.
