Two men tried to kidnap a lone female on Monday night as she walked on Ospika Boulevard at Ferry Avenue.

Police have been investigating and want the public's help to located the suspects and a possible witness.

According to Mounties, the female - a girl about 16 years old - was walking at about 10:10 p.m. when the attackers descended on her from a passing vehicle.

"A red Chevrolet pick up truck pulled up beside her," said Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Lesley Smith. "The vehicle had two male occupants and the male passenger grabbed the female victim's arm and tried to pull her into the truck. The female was able to get away and she ran home to call police."

The suspects are described as follows:

- Suspect No.1 (Passenger): a Caucasian male approximately 30 years old, wearing a red long-sleeved shirt had sandy blond/brown hair and was about 6 feet in height.

- Suspect No.2 (Driver): a Caucasian male approximately 30 years old, wearing a black hoodie, had black hair and blue eyes, was 5-foot-8 to 6 feet in height.

"We are looking for a male who may have witnessed the incident as the victim reports that she was able to get away due to a witness who yelled at the suspects," said Smith. That helpful passerby has not spoken with investigators, and they would like to interview him about that night.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police as soon as possible by calling 250-561-3300 or anonymously pass on the information to Crime Stoppers who will relay it to police with no names required (1-800-222-TIPS / www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca).
