Local store asks for Coats for a Cause

District's Coats for a Cause will hold its second annual coat drive until October 31 at the District Clothing Company at Pine Centre Mall.

District's Coats for a Cause will hold its second annual coat drive until October 31 at the District Clothing Company at Pine Centre Mall. The Coats for a Cause campaign is dedicated to distributing gently used coats to Active Support Against Poverty (ASAP) in Prince George.

The organization works closely with families and individuals who are in need and will distribute the coats to their clients.

People bring in clean jackets and coats and as a thank you receive $25 towards the purchase of a new coat.

"Last year was the first year we ran the Coats for a Cause campaign and we were quite pleased how things turned out," said Teena Blake, owner of the District Clothing Company. "We collected almost 30 jackets for ASAP and found many people just did it to donate and not for the $25 credit we offered them."

For more information visit www.DistrictClothingOnline.com or find them on Facebook or drop by the store at the mall.
