Northern Development Initiatives Trust is providing a total of $180,000 to six Prince George-area projects through its community halls and recreation facilities program.
Each of the following will get $30,000:
Elder Citizens Recreation Centre to upgrade and expand its kitchen. The project will include the installation of new appliances, furnace and additional space.
Kinsmen Hall to go towards replacing its 4,900-square-foot roof.
CN Centre to replace carpeting in its suites and media box with vinyl flooring and to replace 200 damaged 22-year old event chairs.
Pineview Hall to expand the facility to include improved office space, a meeting and conference room, air conditioning and storage space.
AiMHi to improve the accessibility and energy efficiency of two public washroom adjacent to its gymnasium and conference centre.
Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park, to go towards construction of a new pavilion.
The allocations were announced on Tuesday.
