Local man wanted on Canada-wide warrant

Steven James Fontaine is a local man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant and local RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating him. On Sept. 2 the warrant was issued for the 37-year-old man for being unlawfully at large.

Steven James Fontaine is a local man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant and local RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating him.

On Sept. 2 the warrant was issued for the 37-year-old man for being unlawfully at large.

The arrest warrant was issued when Fontaine failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George.

Fontaine has an extensive criminal record in many communities across western Canada and should be considered violent.

All efforts to locate Fontaine have been negative. Police are now asking for the public's help in locating him. He is believed to still be in the Prince George area.

Fontaine is described as:

- Indigenous male

- 178 cm (5'10")

- 91 kg (200 lbs)

- Brown hair

- Brown eyes

- He has tattoos including James written on the left side of his forehead above his eye.
