Two local groups are seeking $25,000 each from Shell Oil and they need your help.

The company is holding a contest to distribute $2 million to environmental projects. The Tabor Mountain Recreation Society and the Sons of Norway Ski Club have submitted proposals for a share of that cash.

The Tabor group's entry is to install water bars to prevent erosion on trails on Tabor Mountain and the Sons of Norway want to do major ditching and bridging on its Highway 16 ski trails.

Both are entered in the $25,000 category in Shell's Fueling Change campaign. Shell patrons can

go to www.fuellingchange.com, redeem their receipt codes for votes and vote for their favourite projects.

The final voting date is Oct. 31.
