A human resources organization has named Prince George-based consultants Environmental Dynamics Inc. (EDI) its employer of the year.

EDI was named the winner earlier this month in the small business category by Eco Canada, an industry-led organization which focusses on careers in the environmental sector.

Now in its sixth year, the award "recognizes employers within Canada's environment industry for their commitment and dedicaiton to human resource excellence."

EDI president Bob Redden said the proud to have received the award.

"Unlike many corporate awards, this one is largely based on employee feedback," Redden said. "It is very gratifying to know that our employees appreciate the work they do, the corporate philosophies and our office culture.

"Our employees make EDI a great company and we really feel that this award is a reflection of our entire team of passionate environmental professionals."

An environmental consulting company established in Prince George in 1994, EDI now has offices in Vancouver, Nanaimo, Whitehorse and Grande Prairie. The corporate headquarters remains in Prince George.
