Robert Glenn Klyne, 42, and his 18-year-old son Brady Samuel Klyne have been charged with break, enter and commit and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose in connection with a May 4 break-in at a Girl Guides camp.

Two suspects fled the area in an SUV about 75 km southeast of Prince George and were reportedly in possession of a handgun.

Several officers attended and located the suspect vehicle on a forest service road. When the SUV didn't initially stop for police, a road block forced the driver to stop.

The two occupants were taken into custody without further incident.

Located in the vehicle was a black pellet handgun and a pellet rifle along with other evidence of the break and enter but no stolen items. After many hours of searching several kilometres of roads in the area, a police service dog team located about $8,000 worth of stolen items.

Both men are expected to make court appearances this week.
