Prince George dentist Dr. Kerim Ozcan was honoured with an award of merit at the College of Dental Surgeons of BC's annual awards ceremony on March 17 in Vancouver.
This award recognizes Kerim's significant contributions to the College. Kerim is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who began volunteering with CDSBC in 2006 and currently sits on the registration committee.
After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University, Kerim completed a general dental hospital residency at the University of Western Ontario, followed by a specialty residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy in 1997.
In addition to volunteering at CDSBC, Kerim held executive positions for the New Brunswick Dental Society and the Prince George Dental Association. He is a clinical instructor at the College of New Caledonia and an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Surgery at UBC Medicine.
Kerim currently operates a private practice in Prince George, and satellite practices in Fort St. John and Terrace.
