Former Prince George-Mackenzie Conservative candidate Terry Rysz has endorsed Dan Brooks for leader of the B.C. Conservative Party.
In a news release on Tuesday, Rysz cited Brooks' understanding of both rural and urban issues as well as his "honest and caring charisma" as reasons he's supporting him in the leadership race.
Nathan Giede, who ran for the Conservatives in Prince George-Valemount, had already endorsed Brooks.
Brooks placed third in Nechako Lakes in the May election and is one of two declared candidates for the leadership. Rick Peterson is also running for the job, which became vacant when John Cummins stepped down after the party failed to win a seat in May.
Brooks moved from Vanderhoof to Kamloops to run his campaign. He also announced on Tuesday that Ronaye Freed of Salmon Arm will act as his financial agent.
Party members will vote on a new leader on April 11.
