Dedicated to conserving energy, Prince George builders Dave Eddy and Jody Tindill of Belledune Homes were recognized in the single family builder category by FortisBC in the Efficiency in Action awards held Tuesday in Kelowna.
Belledune Homes was recognized along with 10 other B.C. organizations during the first bi-annual awards event.
The organizations combined saved enough natural gas to heat almost 150 homes and electricity to power close to 340 homes for a year.
The awards were offered to those involved in residential building, commercial upgrading, and industrial operations. Winners were businesses, municipalities and institutions.
Overwaitea Food Group, which made energy-efficient upgrades in their Kelowna, Penticton and Nelson stores, took the medium commercial category.
