Prince George accountant and business owner Dean Mason joined the board of the Prince George Airport Authority.
On Tuesday airport authority board chairperson Jim Blake announced the appointment of Mason to the board for a three-year term.
"We are pleased to have [Mason] on our board for a three year term as he has a lot of experience, knowledge and energy," Blake said in a written statement. "Mason will chair the finance committee moving forward."
Mason is the owner of accounting firm Dean Mason & Company, which has operated in Prince George since 1987.
"I joined the board because the success of the Prince George Airport is key in the economic development of Prince George, and the North's future," Mason said in a written statement.
Mason fills the board position left vacant by longtime director Ron Epp. Epp had served 11 years on the board and had reached the maximum length of his term.
