Smoke may be visible in the Prince George sky today, Nov. 14, and on Saturday, Nov. 19 as the airport is undergoing live fire training.
Training will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 14 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the airport is reminding residents that these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas.
These fires are held in self-contained facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training certification.
These fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.
