National charitable organization Little Warriors will host a three-hour workshop in Prince George next month on preventing child abuse.
Little Warriors offers Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children training, "a revolutionary research based training designed for all responsible adults, including parents, teachers, and all organizations that serve children and youth."
The session is designed to teach adults how to help prevent, recognize and react to child sexual abuse and the program qualifies for three category A credits through the National Association of Social Workers, according to Little Warriors.
It's set for May 14, 1-4 p.m. at the Canadian Reformed Church Prince George Mission, 4110 15th Avenue, and the fee is $40. To register, go to www.littlewarriors.ca, click on Stewards of Children prevention program and then on the registration button.
