A Prince George lawyer called for reinstatement of legal aid for several types of breach-related offences when he made a submission to the public commission on legal aid when it was in the city on Tuesday.
Providing legal aid for such offences as breach of bail, breach of probation and failing to appear in court is actually good value for money, argued Jeff Ollis, because it would reduce the burden on the health system.
