Chick-fil-A Leadercast is a one-day leader development event broadcast live from Atlanta, Georgia to hundreds of sites throughout North America.

Community business leaders, leadership students and those interested, can access the knowledge and experience of nine speakers like Soledad O'Brien, anchor and special correspondent for CNN; Tim Tebow, NFL quarterback, Heisman trophy winner and best-selling author; Patrick Lencioni, best-selling author and president of The Table Group and John Maxwell, leadership expert and best-selling author of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.

"We're really proud to be part of this simulcast," said Lu Verticchio, advertising director at the Prince George Citizen, co-sponsor of the event. "We found this event is of great value to our community leaders in a cost-effective manner."

This year's program will focus on the power of choice. The diverse group of internationally-acclaimed authors, leadership experts and practitioners will share insights to help leaders empower and equip others at work, at home and in the community through their choices.

"What's wonderful about this is the theme -- the power of choice," said Gary Clarke, Leadercast coordinator. "In the journal that guests will receive during the seminar it says 'the world is dying for you -- yes, you -- to make choices that strengthen your family, impact your workplace, influence your communities, and leave the world a better place' -- we couldn't have said it better. That's exactly why we got involved in this project."

Clarke, of Raymond James Ltd., and co-organizer Clifford Raphael, leadership instructor at the College of New Caledonia, have formed a not-for-profit group called Leadership Legacy, and are in talks with community partners to continue the leadership program with Lunch and Lead events that will be held on a regular basis, Clarke said.

"In the very near future, we would like to bring the education community and the business community together for a mentoring opportunity so that both would ultimately benefit from the partnership," said Clarke.

Last year's Leadercast saw 600 host sites with 85,000 people in attendance globally.

"May the fourth be with you," quipped Clarke, as a reminder of the conference date.
