Northern Health declared the COVID-19 outbreak at Laurier Manor in Prince George over on Wednesday.
The outbreak was declared on Nov. 19, after two lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported among residents of the assisted-living facility. Once the outbreak was declared, there were no further cases reported among residents, a statement issued by Northern Health said.
“Sadly, one of the residents who had tested positive, has since passed away,” the statement said. “Northern Health extends condolences to the family, friends and caregivers of the resident who passed away. Northern Health also wishes to thank the hardworking Laurier Manor staff, nurses, care aides, and physicians who have continued to provide excellent care in these challenging circumstances.”
