The Citizen's most recent online poll asked people, "Should Prince George make a bid for the 2020 B.C. Summer Games?"
A convincing 53 per cent of participants in the poll voted "No, the money spent on the Games could go elsewhere," with 366 votes.
On the opposing end, 22 per cent said "Yes, Prince George has proven it's a great host city for major sports events," with 152 votes, followed by "Yes, major sports events are good for business and community spirit" with 17 per cent or 115 votes.
Trailing with eight per cent of the vote, with 57 votes, was "No, it costs too much and puts too much of a strain on the volunteer community."
There was a total of 690 votes. Remember this is not a scientific poll.
Next up is the question, "Should the City of Prince George be supporting a resolution encouraging the federal government to do more to help Syrian refugees?"
