No. 5 has been apprehended, leaving no more suspects on the Prince George Most Wanted list.
On March 15, the Prince George RCMP released a list of five people with outstanding warrants that, in their view, were key to important recent cases.
Four were located in the first few months, including one who had apparently been living in Alberta. However, Brandy Lenay Potskin eluded capture until this past week.
On Friday, that disconnect finally ended.
"Members of the Prince George RCMP's Drug Enforcement Section conducted a roadside check of a vehicle near the intersection of North Nechako Road and Foothills Boulevard [on Friday]," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "The female driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was recognized by the officer to be Brandy Lenay Potskin, despite her providing a different name."
She was arrested and held in custody pending a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 4.
Potskin faces a number of charges including allegations of robbery at the Real Canadian Superstore on Jan. 5, 2010, but other incidents as well. In all, she had five warrants attached to her name.
The Prince George RCMP detachment has not released another set of five most wanted. Douglass said these were special features and would be compiled over time, however there are three others who had been identified recently as being of particular interest, and two of them remain at large.
Listed was Karyle Elmer Ottenbreit, Travis Howard Golar and Jason Elliotte French. Ottenbreit turned himself in soon after media reports surfaced, but Golar and French are still at large.
The entire list of key individuals wanted by local police is available at the Prince George RCMP website.
