Today marks the the last chance for candidates to take their names off the ballot.
The list has already decreased after Dawn Taylor withdrew from the race Wednesday.
That still leaves 25 names on the city council ballot, which ties the 2005 election for the most councillor candidates in the six elections since 1999.
Oct. 17 is also the deadline for Regional District of Fraser-Fort George candidates to get the original versions of their nomination and financial disclosure documents in to the chief electoral officer.
