A Prince George human resources firm has become the latest business to be named an official supplier to the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Kopar Administration Ltd. will assist with employment-related services, including promoting job opportunities, screening of candidates, training of successful applicants and recruiting volunteers for the 2015 Games.
"Kopar looks forward to providing a platform for potential employees and volunteers to not only secure a position with 2015 Canada Winter Games but, by registering at our Work BC site, qualify for training that matches the needs of the 2015 Games team," Kopar president Tom Newell said in a statement issued Friday.
"We look at this as an opportunity for Canadians to learn then earn and develop a current work experience for future long term employment. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to participate and to grow; to develop the skills and knowledge that will be the foundation for all other endeavours."
Mayor Shari Green said the partnership will benefit the Games in a variety of ways.
"From the quality of staff recruited to drawing new community members from across the country, Kopar will help bring additional talent and personality to the City of Prince George," Green said.
