"Klutter kingdom" defended by property owner's son

The son of the man who owns what appears to be an unsightly premise in the Hart has come to his defence.

The son of the man who owns what appears to be an unsightly premise in the Hart has come to his defence.

Stan Tomic said his father, Dimitre, is a collector of old cars and maintains the condition of the home at 3795 Crawford Place is not as bad as some would say.

"You can refer to a gentleman having an enormous amount of antiques and collector cars, not clutter and junk," Tomic said.

A Citizen reader called the site a "klutter kingdom."

Tomic did say the City raised concerns about access to the home in the case of a fire.

City bylaw service manager Guy Gusdal said last week his department is aware of the property and has been working on the concerns with the property owner. However, Gusdal also said it probably won't be until winter ends that anything is done.

An "accurate determination of what needs to be done on the property," can be done once the snow melts, Gusdal said.
