The upcoming edition were scheduled for Jan. 29 and 30.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we will be cancelling Kiwanis Alefest 2021," a Facebook status reads.

"Due to the current pandemic unfortunately we are not able to safely host our event while adhering to the provincial guidelines and keeping our community safe. We thank everyone for your support, we are very hopeful that Kiwanis Alefest will be back in January 2022!"

The post also says there are 'exciting things' in the works to get people through this year, with clues set to be announced over the next few months.
