Police do not yet know the identity of the male apparently shot to death in the streets of Prince George, Saturday afternoon. Mounties also stressed that they do not have any suspects in custody. However the Citizen learned that they have spoken to persons of interest - be they possible witnesses or holders of possible information.
The gunshots blew apart the peace and quiet of the 2400 block of Oak Street at about 3 p.m. One victim died in a pool of blood in front of 2408 Oak Street, a residence five officers burst into with guns drawn at 3:29 p.m. They cleared the premise and found nobody else inside.
Many witnesses are in the process of being interviewed and other clues also being pursued, as of deadline.
