A charge has now been laid in the death of Samuel Auger, 29.
Prince George RCMP announced on Wednesday that provincial Crown counsel had agreed to charge Gordon Mayward Kerr with the killing of Auger.
"On April 28th, (Auger), of Prince George, was struck by a pickup truck near Grama's Inn on Central Street West," said Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Lesley Smith, describing the incident. "Mr. Auger has since succumbed to his injuries."
Kerr was charged with manslaughter as well as criminal negligence causing death.
