Kelowna man violently mugged

A man from Kelowna, visiting Prince George and staying at a hotel at the south end of Spruce Street, was the victim of a violent band of robbers.

A man from Kelowna, visiting Prince George and staying at a hotel at the south end of Spruce Street, was the victim of a violent band of robbers.

The 47-year-old visitor was walking between the hotel and a convenience store on Tuesday night just before midnight, and was in the 2700 block of Spruce Street when he was attacked.

"The victim stated he was set upon from behind, punched and kicked by two males and a female," said Prince George RCMP media officer Gary Godwin. "The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and subsequently released shortly afterwards. He was robbed of a sum of money."

The suspect descriptions are not detailed due to the low light at the time and the swift attack, said Godwin.

One suspect male is described as being native, heavy set with short dark hair.

The second male suspect was also native, tall, with a slim build and wearing a dark or black hoodie.

The female suspect is described as Caucasian with blonde hair, wearing a dark blue zip-up hoodie with white lettering.

Anyone with possible information on these attackers or the robbery is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca or 1-800-222-TIPS.
