The B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a snowmobile incident that occurred near Valemount this week as Richard Allan McDonald, 61, of Kamloops.
McDonald had been found pinned underneath his snowmobile in a ditch a along Highway 5 and was transported to Valemount Hospital where he was confirmed deceased Wednesday after resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
McDonald had been riding along the clearing between the highway and tree line when the incident occurred, the service said.
