Join the Parade of Homes slated for Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. that sees people jumping on the bandwagon to satisfy that burning curiosity about what's the latest and greatest in home design.

The Canadian Home Builders' Association of Northern B.C. is hosting this free event that offers a peek into newly built homes to compare the newest ideas in decor and floor plans while checking out what neighbourhoods have to offer. The tour begins at the Lithium One Lead Home at 2930 Vista Ridge.

Guests can tour the home and enter a free draw between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a new set of living room furniture from City Furniture.

The draw will take place at 4:15 and the winner will be notified by phone.

There will be free coffee and hot chocolate available and then the choice is to hop the shuttle to start the three-hour tour or grab a map and drive yourself to the next house.

"We have not hosted a parade of homes event in a number of years and we are excited to bring it back as an annual fall event which will nicely balance the annual spring home show," said Terri McConnachie, executive officer of the association.

"This is an opportunity for our member builders to showcase the quality and craftsmanship of the homes they build. Visitors can also engage directly with the home builders to discuss their needs and wants now and in the future, in concert with the technology, design possibilities and opportunities now available in residential new construction or renovation."
