High-profile Prince George residents were "arrested," placed in a makeshift jail in the Gold's Gym parking lot and given a phone to raise enough "bail" to be released - with the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
So far, Davis Rodrigues from Accelerated Sport and Spine Physiotherapists is the biggest fund raiser with more than $1,750 in donations.
The ride itself is set for Sept. 13-19, starting in Dawson Creek, passing through Prince George, then finishing in Williams Lake.
Four riders - two RCMP regular members, one RCMP civilian member and one community member - are from Prince George: Sgt. Holly Lavin, Cst. Paul Starr, Dustin Hudyma and Dennis Schwab.
