Initiatives Prince George has backed away from the Downtown Business Improvement Association.
In a letter e-mailed to DBIA president Hugh Nicholson on Tuesday, IPG president Tim McEwan said it will not participate in the organization "at this time and until further notice" but will continue to advance its priorities for downtown renewal through the Downtown Partnership - formerly the Mayor's Task Force for a Better Downtown. IPG was an ex officio member of the DBIA.
