The Citizen has learned that the RCMP, Prince George Fire Rescue Service, WorkSafeBC and the BC Safety Authority have all been called together to investigate the fatal explosion and inferno at Lakeland Mills.
The BC Coroners' Service is also at the ready if needed.
Until the police rule out foul play, which can't happen without the scene being stabilized and made safe, it remains the RCMP at the lead of the investigation. Police and other stakeholders will gather at 3 p.m. today for a public statement on the matter.
