A new set of traffic lights at the intersection of Highway 16 and Bear and Kimball Roads is expected to be operational Thursday evening, according to a statement released by the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.
The $1 million project includes new traffic signals, traffic islands and a right-turn lane for westbound traffic turning onto Kimball Road.
The project was funded by the province and City of Prince George, and used local equipment and crews.
While the lights should be operational on Thursday, completion of the traffic islands is not expected until next spring.
