International award-winning comedian in town

The worst night of his professional life was right here in Prince George.

It was his debut as a professional comedian - a guy paid him $100 to do 20 minutes of stand up - and Damonde Tschritter bombed at Tabor Arms Pub.

"They were yelling at me before I even started," Tschritter said.

He learned quickly from his mistake - only preparing five minutes worth of material for a 20-minute gig was the worst, and the next night at the Cariboo Inn in Quesnel he killed it and even ended up making out with a girl after the show.

"It was a real 180 degree turnaround from one night to the next," said Tschritter, who lives in Vancouver.

Now, with a decade of stand up behind him and several appearances in Prince George throughout that time, he's coming back.
