Integris says one of its employees in Prince George has tested positive for COVID-19.

As of Sunday (Dec. 6), the north-central B.C. credit union has shut down its branch in downtown Prince George as a precaution to members that may have come into contact with the lab-confirmed case.

In a statement, Integris says its Town Centre and Financial Planning Services buildings, located at 1532 6 Ave and 575 Victoria St. respectively, will undergo a deep cleaning in addition to its regular sanitization methods.

Those that may have contact with the staff member ‘over the last three weeks’ are also being notified.

Integris says the Town Centre ATM remains open for customers and recommends visiting its two other locations in the city if services other than transactions are needed during this time.

As of this publication (Dec. 10), Northern Health has found 1,159 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since its first infection in March, which has included nine deaths.

There are currently 378 active cases with 14 people in critical care among 40 total hospitalizations in the region and 772 recoveries.
