The B.C. Civil Liberties Association will hold a Prince George meeting on the topic of deaths in police custody. Several cases from the Central Interior are up for discussion, which is centred on a report written by a BCCLA researcher.

"Professor David MacAlister will be speaking with BCCLA executive director David Eby on the report, which found that B.C. has Canada's highest provincial rates of in-custody and police-involved deaths, and which takes lessons from other jurisdictions on how B.C. should structure our new Independent Investigation Office," said a written statement from the provincial watchdog organization.

The Prince George event is Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Civic Centre. The public is invited to attend.
