The matter of whether or not ICBC should compensate the local man who's car was damaged in a fatal hit and run accident Jan. 30 on Ospika Boulevard has been cleared up.
Robbin Shingler told The Citizen Friday that his 2000 Sunfire has been written off by ICBC and he has received the book price of the car.
"I'm happy with our settlement. This whole experience certainly wasn't about money," said Shingler.
But he says he won't soon forget the nightmarish experience when he witnessed Stanley Heavysides, 48 being run over once - almost twice - by the driver of an SUV.
