A hunting guide from Lethbridge, Alberta was the person who died Monday when he fell off a cliff near Kemano, the B.C. Coroners Service said Wednesday.
Jeffery Allan Wayne Ripley, 26, lost his footing and fell over a cliff estimated to be 100 metres high while guiding a party on a remote mountain about an hour from Kemano. Ripley fell at about 4 p.m. and died at the scene, the service said.
A Royal Canadian Air Force search-and-rescue helicopter crew recovered his body the next day.
