A workshop suite is being offered to bring better practices to light on issues like human trafficking. In honour of National Victims of Crime Awareness Week, a group of agencies in Prince George is offering the workshops and a gala event from April 12 to 14.

The events scheduled are:

April 12

- Community Roundtable (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.)

"Partnering to Mobilize Leaders to Take a Proactive Role"

Location: Native Friendship Centre (lunch included)

No entry fee, but preregistration required.

April 14

- Human Trafficking Workshop (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Featuring input from the Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons

Location: Ramada Hotel (lunch and refreshments included)

Registration fee: $25, preregistration required.

April 14

- 2nd Annual Celebration Gala for Victims of Crime Awareness Week (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.)

"Honouring Victim Services Work" featuring a keynote speaker Rosalind Currie from the Office to Combat Trafficking In Persons

Location: Ramada Hotel (dinner and entertainment included)

No entry fee, but preregistration required.

This series is a presentation of RCMP Victim Services, the Elizabeth Fry Society, and the Prince George Native Friendship Centre.
