Police were in the vicinity on an unrelated matter and arrived at the residence shortly after the complaint was made.

Police say a search of the residence showed evidence that a firearm had been recently discharged inside. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect was identified as Sakanisin "Scotty" Charlie-Tom. A warrant for his arrest has been approved through the BC Justice Center.

Charlie-Tom is described as:

• 5’9 (175cms)
• 209 pounds (95 kgs)
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes
• Facial Tattoo

“We don’t feel that there is a threat to the public at this time, as this is believed to be a targeted offence. The suspect and those involved were known to each other said Houston RCMP Detachment Commander,” Sergeant Mark Smaill However, we have concerns that he may be traveling to other areas, and the firearm is still not accounted for.

As he is considered armed and dangerous, Houston RCMP are asking that if you see Charlie-Tom, to call 9-1-1 immediately.
