A 56-year-old Houston man was pronounced dead at the scene Monday morning after the pickup truck he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer unit on Highway 16 east of Topley.
The victim's identity has not been released pending notification of the next of kin, Burns Lake RCMP said in a release sent out Friday morning.
The driver of the tractor trailer sustained minor injuries.
Emergency personnel were called the to scene at 8:35 a.m. at about 1.5 kilometres east of Six Mile Hill east of Topley, about 50 kilometres west of Burns Lake and 275 kilometres west of Prince George.
