Prince George and area saw starts on 22 single-family homes in September, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation numbers released this week.
That's up from 17 for the same month last year and raised the year-to-date total to 128, well up from 88 by the same point in 2014.
Work on multiple-family projects has also been on the upswing. The year-to-date total on that front stands at 95 units, compared to just seven by the third-quarter point last year.
There were starts on two units of multiple-family last month, compared to zero by the same point last year.
