The cause of a fire that broke out over the weekend at a Hart-area home where a shots fired incident was reported last month is not suspicious, according to Prince George RCMP.
"We initially went, and given the history of the residence we were concerned, but no indication that it's criminal at this point," Cpl. Craig Douglass said.
Prince George Fire Rescue personnel were called to the 2800-block Highway 97 home on Saturday at 5:45 a.m. to find flames coming from the garage.
In response to an alert from the RCMP about possible hazards inside, firefighters took a defensive position to keep the fire from spreading outside the home which was gutted.
In early April, RCMP were called to a report of a woman being shot at the home.
Colin Wayne Hall, 48, was arrested and charged with four firearms related charges including attempt to wound or disfigure. He was released from custody on $10,000 bail on May 8.
