House damaged by fire on Friday

City firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 3251 Christensen Rd. on Friday night at about 10 p.m. Prince George Fire Rescue responded with 15 firefighters from three halls and found heavy smoke coming from the residence.

City firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire at 3251 Christensen Rd. on Friday night at about 10 p.m.

Prince George Fire Rescue responded with 15 firefighters from three halls and found heavy smoke coming from the residence. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally in the basement at the back of the house.

The flames were extinguished quickly and crews remained on the scene for about two hours checking for hot spots. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, however preliminary reports suggest the cause to be accidental.

There is no estimate of dollar loss at this time.
