The pace of construction for new houses in the city is starting to pick up.
There were starts on 26 single-family homes last month, according to Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, more than double the 12 seen during May 2016.
It was enough to boost the year-to-date total to 55 starts, four more than by the same point last year.
On the multiple front, there were starts on 24 units, compared to 116 for the same month last year.
