The auxiliary at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. will be celebrating Auxiliary Day on Friday.
The auxiliary, which operates the hospital gift shop as well as a thrift store on Third Avenue, regularly makes six-figure contributions to the hospital through its fundraising efforts.
Last year, the group donated $183,000 to help with equipment purchases and so far this year it's raised $35,000 for a portable ultrasound unit in the obstetrics and labour and delivery wards.
The auxiliary has also recently contributed to the purchase of equipment ranging from a video cystoscope to safety tubs.
A reception will be held at the hospital on Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to celebrate the auxiliary's continued contribution to the operation of UHNBC.
