This year's Hospice Dream Home is a little different, with bold floors, eclectic features and a whole lot of character.

Worth $527,000 the 7630 Creekside Way home features four bedrooms and 2.5 baths which gears it for families, especially as the yard backs onto the creek.

The Prince George Hospice Society operates within a $2.2 million budget each year and with only 42 percent of the not-for-profit's costs covered by Northern Health, that leaves more than $1 million left to fundraise. When the 8,999 tickets for the dream home and early bird prizes sells out, it makes a dent in what's left to fundraise.

The quicker people purchase their tickets the better chance they have to win one of several early bird prizes.

Including the early bird prizes and the dream home, there is $548,769.93 worth of prizes to be won.

There is also a 50/50 draw and tickets are $20 each. If all tickets are sold, the grand prize is $100,000. Draw date is October 24, 2016.

Grand prize draw date for the house is October 27, 2016.

To purchase tickets for $100 each visit the dream home, which is open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or order tickets online at https://hospicedreamhome.ca/shop/.
