There’s a new service in Parkwood mall that may benefit women who may be pregnant.
Hope for Women Pregnancy Services are opening a new location in Prince George at Parkwood Place. Although the grand opening is planned for later this year.
Hope for Women Pregnancy Services offers a safe, confidential and compassionate place any woman who thinks she may be pregnant. It’s services are free and include pregnancy tests, options counselling, referrals to community resources, and ongoing friendship and support.
Trained Peer-Counsellors also provide information and help women explore all options (parenting, adoption and abortion), allowing a woman to make an informed decision.
The centre also provides maternity and baby supplies to assist clients for up to two years after their baby is born which are available at no charge.
Hope for Women will be open from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with no appointment necessary. It’s located at 112-1600 15 Ave and can be contacted at 250-562-4464.
