A homeowner confronted a lone male taking items from his house in the 1500 block of Ash Street at about 6:36 Wednesday night.
The male then fled the location and was arrested by police a short distance away. The male is known to police and is a suspect in several recent break and enters in the city.
Several items were located on the suspect at the time of the arrest, which may be related to the additional crimes.
